Suggestion of the Day: Eat, Pray, Love

By lizpab

I didn’t react to this extraordinary book when it was released earlier this year. But when I got a call from my mother insisting that I pick it up I immediately sprung into action.

One of the comments shared by many women about this book is the sense that the author, Elizabeth Gilbert, is speaking to them. Not only through her triumphant and inspiring story but through her style of writing, which has been called an audio book with words. That’s the ultimate compliment for an author…when your audience can hear the sound of your voice as they read your words.

I’ve just started reading it and already understand and am hypnotized by this books power and charm. As brands go, Liz has done an extraordinary job of creating a product (her book) that wreaks of HER in every possible way; tone, power, vulnerability, the whole enchilada is 100% authentic.

I appreciate any good written work, even when the authors “real life” persona doesn’t quite mirror their written voice. But, when the two come together…it’s magic.

What you read, is what you get! And that’s a wonderful lesson for small business owners…you are your business and your business is you. The question is…how much of you is in your business?

Until next time…

Liz
